I first experienced an improvisational movement for actors class called “Movement to Music” that changed my life while studying at The Theatre School in Chicago. The purpose of the training was geared towards acting, but the class became something different for me. It became therapy. Something I could do on my own, alone in a studio or in my room, that gave me peace and clarity. I could put on the perfect playlist and come out on the other end feeling brand new. Feeling light again. Movement2Music is my way of sharing that feeling with everyone.
This class is a guided free flow musical journey. There's no choreography to memorize, no wrong moves, and no wrong steps. Just moving, feeling, and Living to the Music. Allowing it to pulse through you, clearing the way for full bodied expression and connection. Backed by a genre mixing soundtrack, we'll move in and out of games designed to get us grounded in our most present and confident selves - deepening our connection to body and heart as we move through this experience together.
*This workshop is All Levels. Movement2Music doesn't require any dance experience at all; Just a willingness to play, explore, and connect.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements?
All attendees must be 18+ and prepared to show I.D. at the door.
Do I need Dance experience to attend this workshop?
Definitely not! Movement2Music doesn't require any dance experience at all; Just a willingness to play, explore, and connect.
What do I need for class?
Just a water bottle and towel to wipe off with.
